Environmental, Health and Safety
Safety and the environment is at the core of everything we do at Chemco.
Our health and safety objective is to eliminate occupational accidents and illnesses and ultimately to maintain an accident free workplace, so far as reasonably practicable.
We dedicate the necessary resources, including financial, time and personnel to provide a safe place of work.
We operate an Upper Tier COMAH Establishment for the storage of dangerous substances and have documented our Major Accident Prevention Policy, which is communicated to all Chemco employees and is available as a matter of public record.
We have a fully trained onsite emergency response team to ensure any incident can be dealt with safely and effectively, with no impact to man or the environment.
At Chemco we realise that working in harmony with the environment is vitally important for the future of our planet. We have made commitments to always operate in a way that is beneficial in not only maintaining, but also improving the environment. We not only meet and work within our industry’s environmental legislation, we also invest in researching ways to go above and beyond the legislation, reducing emissions and preventing pollution. Our key strategies are focused on waste management and energy efficiency
Our Environmental Impact Assessment lays out our facilities’ current impact on the environment and while this has been deemed by legislation to be acceptable, we continuously work with experts in the field to improve our infrastructure and our ways of working to reduce our environmental impact.
